Welcome to Central Square Theater's premiere issue of Front & CENTRAL. This spring, Central Square Theater's two professional resident companies, The Nora Theatre Company and Underground Railway Theater, are presenting compelling plays that will jostle our hearts and minds: A vivid portrayal of dark family secrets by an American master and a poetic, inspiring look at our world through the imagined dreams of the father of modern science.

Fall Endings and Spring Beginnings: A New Theatrical Arts Center in Central Square. This spring, construction starts on the new Central Square Theater, marking a new beginning for Central Square, the community, and its residents. Central Square Theater will feature a state-of the-art black box theater. The Theater projects their first full production will be staged in the winter of 2008. Stay tuned for more information.

The Nora Announces Its 2007 Spring Season The Nora Theatre Company rounds out its 19th season. Spring 2007 gets into gear with Sam Shepard's Buried Child and presentations of exciting new works.

Underground Railway Theater premieres States of Grace and Einstein's Dreams A world premiere based on the work of activist-author Grace Paley and the New England premiere of a play based on Alan Lightman's best-selling novel set the stage for URT's future work in the Central Square Theater.
