Looking At The Life of Galileo - A History Play for Our Times
An inter-displinary exploration of Bertolt Brecht's theatrical masterpiece

Teachers will engage with theater artists, scientists, and historians in an exploration of Bertolt Brecht's science theater masterpiece, The Life of Galileo . Timed to mark the UN's declation of 2009 as the Year of Astronomy , the play will be a point of departure for examining questions that cut across the curriculum:
  • How does science discovery affect our everyday lives?
  • How do we know what we know (or think we know)?
  • How does this play reflect our world today?
For Teachers of Language Arts, Science, History, Classroom Teahcers, Drama, and Arts Specialists.

Grades 5-12

Cost: $100 (stipends, pdps, and continuing education credits available)
