Where do you come from? What makes your community special? In this class, we will share the stories, music, art, and dance that are most meaningful to us, and work together to create a performance piece that celebrates what we each call “home”.

Get inspired by youth from around the world! This week, we delve into the perspectives of teens from places far and near to hear about their experiences in their communities. Our ensemble will then create an original performance piece to elevate and share the stories that most move us.

Envision yourself as an inventor! How would you change the world? In partnership with the experts from Lemelson-MIT, students will take on the personas of world-changing inventors from all walks of life, research and write about their stories, and then perform them in a final “Invention Convention”.

Calling all creative thinkers! Acting and invention come together in this brand-new one-week program, in partnership with Lemelson-MIT. Students will dive deep into the world of a children’s story and adapt the characters’ adventures for the stage. At the same time, using a series of hands-on activities, they will design and construct a new invention inspired by the tale. As a finale, the actor-inventors present their story and show off their creation in a showcase performance for younger campers.
