Welcome to the 2nd Annual Central Square Theater Leadership Program! Our production of Matt and Ben has such wonderful synergies with the young creative team this year.  Who else could better depict the doggedly determined and wildly irreverent personalities of Cambridge’s favorite best friends? Alison R. Klejna, in her second and final year of helming the Leadership Program, has assembled a fine team of emerging artists to advance our existing commitment to promoting local, young theater professionals. Also at CST, youth ages 13 and up have opportunities to work in our Counselor in Training Program, partnering with Educators-in-Residence on our summer theater camps, or embarking on an exploration into the depths of CST’s 2011-12 play selections in our Dramaturgy Internship Program. Youth Underground, our thriving teen acting ensemble, offers experience with both play creation and performance.

In the spirit of the Leadership Program, albeit bittersweet, our own Alison will be leaving Central Square Theater after this production to take her many skills and impressive determination to NYC.  We wish her well and wonder if she will follow in the famous footsteps of our hometown heroes?
