Alex Lonati

Alex Lonati (Director) is a Boston-based director, producer, and arts administrator. She directs throughout the city, including at SpeakEasy Stage Company (The Antiquities; Cost of Living), Greater Boston Stage Company (Webster’s Bitch – upcoming), Umbrella Arts (The Counter), and Brown Box Theatre Project (The Hotel Nepenthe; Don’t Feed the Bear), as well as at local colleges and universities. Professionally, she serves as SpeakEasy Stage’s Director of Artistic & Community Programs, is the President of the Theatre Community Benevolent Fund (TCBF), and serves on the Leadership Committee of the Boston Area Theatre Auditions (BATA). She is also an Adjunct Professor of Arts Management and Design Collaboration: Directing at Emerson College. Alex holds an MS in Arts Administration from Boston University and a BA in Theatre Studies Directing from Emerson College, where she hosted Standing Room Only on 88.9 WERS.
