SeifAllah Salotto-Cristobal, he/him,his (Projection Designer) is a father, husband, educator, and storyteller who travels across the country designing lighting and digital media for Theatre, Opera, Dance, Concerts, and Live Events. Over the last 20 years, he has had the privilege to work on projects with many companies including Portland Stage Company (Portland, ME), Lyric Stage Boston (Boston, MA), Penobscot Theatre Company (Bangor, ME), Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Program (Providence, RI), Umbrella Stage Company (Concord, MA), Remote Theatre Project (Brooklyn, NY), Wheelock Family Theatre (Boston, MA), Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine (Portland, ME), The Coterie Theatre (Kansas City, MO), Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts (Warsaw, IN), Maine State Music Theatre (Brunswick, ME), Ogunquit Playhouse (Ogunquit, ME), Theatre at Monmouth (Monmouth, ME), Unicorn Theatre (Kansas City, MO), University of Delaware Dance (Newark, DE), Opera Maine (Portland, ME), Opera Colorado (Denver, CO), Palm Beach Opera (Palm Beach, FL), Tulsa Opera (Tulsa, OK), and Boston Conservatory @ Berklee (Boston, MA). He holds a Master of Fine Arts in Design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a focus on Lighting and Digital Media Design. He is an Associate Professor of Lighting Design, Co-Chair, and Head of Production and Design in the Department of Theatre at the University of Southern Maine where he brings his knowledge and experience to help shape the next generation of holistic storytellers and create a more equitable industry., Academically, he has a particular interest in creating a more accessible and hopeful classroom.
