Zowie Rico

Zowie Rico, they/them/theirs/she/her/hers (Community Connectivity Dramaturg) is a Senior at Boston University studying Classical Civilizations with a minor in English. She is a Latine artist who primarily works with the theater group they are the president of at BU. Through this theater group, called Wandering Minds, Zowie has directed three plays and has acted in eight. She is currently cast in her ninth production with Wandering Minds. The shows they have directed include: Peter/Wendy by Jeremy Bloom, The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde, and Melancholy Play by Sarah Ruhl. She has also just finished directing the staged-reading of The Re-Education of Fernando Morales with Teatro Chelsea as a part of their third A-Tipico theater festival. Zowie has recently accepted her spot at the University of East London for their MFA Theater Directing program, and is excited to start there in the fall.
