Looking At The Life of Galileo - A History Play for Our Times An inter-displinary exploration of Bertolt Brecht's theatrical masterpiece
Teachers will engage with theater artists, scientists, and historians in an exploration of Bertolt Brecht's science theater masterpiece, The Life of Galileo . Timed to mark the UN's declation of 2009 as the Year of Astronomy , the play will be a point of departure for examining questions that cut across the curriculum:

• How does science discovery affect our everyday lives?
• How do we know what we know (or think we know)?
• How does this play reflect our world today?

For Teachers of Language Arts, Science, History, Classroom Teahcers, Drama, and Arts Specialists.
Grades 5-12

Central Square Theater is proud to announce that it is one of thirty-six organizations across the state to receive awards in the second round of Massachusetts Cultural Facilities Fund grants.

On receiving news of the award, Central Square Theater Executive Director Catherine Carr Kelly said:

"With this grant we are a significant step closer to reaching our goal for the capital campaign and opening the doors of the new Central Square Theater. We are proud to be recognized by the Massachusetts Cultural Council and Mass Development as a project that will bring significant economic impact to Central Square, Cambridge and will make valuable contributions to the arts in Massachusetts."

The most recent round of Cultural Facilities awards, announced in February of 2008 and ranging from $4,500 to $632,000 are to support cultural organizations with building projects that increase tourism, create new jobs, and expand arts and cultural activities in communities across the state.

@ MIT Museum - Robots, holography, exciting programs and interactive exhibits draw visitors from around the world. A new 5,000 sq. ft. Innovation Gallery opened in Sept. 2007.
