Job Title: Front of House Coordinator

Reports to: Elizabeth Watson, Guest Experience Manager

Salary Range: $31-34K, generous holiday and vacation time

Description: Central Square Theater (CST), seeks an experienced Front of House and Box Office associate to add to and assist in leading CST’s exceptional Guest Experience department through uplifting our Front of House team, while maintaining administrative and box office duties.

Schedule: Daytime, Night and Weekend hours.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in coordination and interviewing of possible FOH candidates. 
  • House manage / open shows, leading our staff by example.
    • Ensure timing of late seating 
  • Prepare offer letters for incoming FOH staff
  • Train on-boarded Front of House associates. 
    • Concessions
    • Ambassador 
    • House Manager 
    • Box Office 
  • Work with the Guest Experience Manager to build and review FOH schedule, stepping in when necessary.
  • Take notes during Front House Meetings 
  • Attend necessary board meetings
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the Lobby and Green Room during and in-between shows
    • Old trifolds disposed of
    • Wash and dry tablecloths 
  • Label and coordinate seats in the theater. 
  • Manage concessions stock
    • Keep track in google doc of what gets ordered when, what arrives when
  • Cover the Box Office phone and email with the Guest Experience Manager 
    • Answer phone calls
    • Respond to emails
    • Go through Groove messages
    • Assist in booking First Thursday, and other season ticket holder packages
  • Miscellaneous
    • Hang posters in bathroom 
    • Deliver checks
    • Make deposits
  • Control lost and found
    • Contact people if their belongings are found
    • Decide when to take things that haven’t been picked up to Goodwill
  • Create and share Usher Sign-up Form 

Qualifications: 

  • Previous experience in customer service related field, preferably in a supervisor position. 
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Strong organizational skills  and strong customer service. 
  • Must have weekends available for a 5-6 show run each season. (Season is from September through June.)
  • Interest and passion for the Theatre and arts industry.
  • Grace under pressure and sense of humor.
