Medicine Wheel Productions, a Boston non-profit devoted to engaging communities in the making of large public art installations in reaction to social injustice, is creating thousands of Japanese-style paper lanterns in workshops like this one for the August 28th celebration of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr’s “I Have a Dream” speech. Come make a lantern and be part of this historic event! No art experience necessary. NOTE: While this free workshop is appropriate for all ages, The Mountaintop is recommended for ages 13 and up.
