Chelsea Kerl (Costume Designer) is very pleased to be back at Central Square Theatre, having previously designed Photograph 51, The Women Who Mapped the Stars, The Midvale High School 50th Reunion, Intimate Exchanges, and Emilie: The Marquise du Chatelet Defends Her Life Tonight. Chelsea is a Boston-based freelance artist and educator; she received her MFA in Costume Design from Boston University and two BAs from the University of Maryland. Chelsea is the costume shop manager and costume design professor at Wellesley College; she also teaches at Bridgewater State University and Brandeis University. Roopa joined Central Square Theater in May 2014 and handles financial accounting, reporting, budget management, human resources, and several administrative tasks. She is delighted to apply her master’s degree in finance in the context of a nonprofit arts organization.

Benjamin Emerson (Sound Designer) For the last 20 years Ben Emerson has been the Sound Supervisor at the Huntington Theatre. During that time, Ben also developed a Sound Design program for Boston University’s School of Theatre, teaching and advising undergraduate and Graduate Sound Design students. Ben has designed over a dozen productions at the Huntington, as well as many shows in Boston’s small theatre community and New England regional theatres. In 2009, Ben was awarded an IRNE for Sound Design for Speakeasy Stage’s production of The Seafarer, and in 2010 he was awarded an IRNE for Sound Design for the Huntington’s production of Fences. In 2015 Ben was awarded an Elliot Norton Award for Sound Design for the Huntington’s production of The Second Girl.

Celeste Oliva* (Edyth Bonner) happily returns to the stage and to Central Square Theater after a 3 year hiatus. Oliva was a regular on Boston stages and last appeared in Tiny Beautiful Things earning her an Elliot Norton award. She was a member of the cast of the long running Shear Madness which also took her to their off Broadway production for a spell. Other projects include Ch’inglish, Grounded, Between Riverside and Crazy, and Arcadia. Oliva just wrapped filming on the new Amazon series 56 Days playing Camille Russo coming in February 2026. She will also appear on the next season of Paradise and The Diplomat. Oliva recurred on HBO’s Julia as well as We Own This City, long running network shows Law&Order (Original) & Bull, and has guest starred in Grey’s Anatomy, NCIS Hawai’i, Blue Bloods The Black List, FBI: Most Wanted and others. Oliva appears in several Academy award winning films like American Fiction, I Care A Lot, and Mystic River. You can see her in the films Sorry, Baby, The Exorcist:Believer, Parachute and Salem’s Lot. Oliva is also a voice over artist, book narrator, and writer. She is based in NYC and is repped by The Lisa Lax Agency and Entertainment Lab. IG @actingcelested
