
John Nicholson forms one third of the award-winning comedy theatre trio Peepolykus. His work with them includes Let the Donkey Go, I am a Coffee, Horses for Courses, The Midsummer Rude Mechanicals, Goose Nights, and Mindbender. John has also written for BBC Radio 4, and has been on attachment as a writer to the National Theatre in London. With Steven Canny, John’s 2007 adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles broke box office records at the West Yorkshire Playhouse before transferring to London’s West End. Their 2008 play, Spyski!, has successfully toured the UK. Last year, John and Steven co-wrote Origins (about the life of Charles Darwin) for Pentabus Theatre, and Foot/Mouth for the National Youth Theatre. Forthcoming work will include the Christmas 2010 show for the Liverpool Playhouse and a BBC Radio 4 adaptation of A Christmas Carol.

Steven Canny has writen or adapted many works, including Origins, Foot/Mouth, The Hound of the Baskervilles, A Dulditch Angel, A Shropshire Lad, Humble Boy, Mnemonic, and The Virtuous Burglar. His directing credits include Slavery: the Making of…, The Fire Raisers, A Conspiracy at Sevres, Otherkin, When You Cure Me, Caesar! Empress of the West, Donation, Burglar Beware, Eleven Lessons For The Paranoid, A Song for Edmond Shakespeare, The Observed, Epicoene, and Rabbit Punching. He has worked as Associate Director and Dramaturg with Theatre de Complicite between 1999 and 2005 on Measure for Measure, The Elephant Vanishes, Mnemonic, The Noise of Time, Light, and Genoa 01. Steven was also Associate Director of Al Pacino’s The Resistable Rise of Arturo Ui.

Trent Mills is first and foremost very honored to get to work with this company, cast and creative team. He is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory in musical theatre. Last year he was seen in Boston at Actors’ Shakespeare Project’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Some of his favorite credits at the Conservatory include Killer Joe, Falsettos, Machinal, Romeo and Juliet, and Cloud 9. Trent wants to thank Tommy , Central Square Theater, and Rachel for the opportunity to get to do this hilarious show and the vast ensemble and the support they provide.

Remo Airaldi* (Creature, Delacey, M. Frankenstein) is thrilled to be returning to Central Square Theater where he previously appeared in The Hound of the Baskervilles. He has appeared in over sixty productions at the American Repertory Theater, including Night of the Iguana, Oliver Twist (also at Theatre for a New Audience and Berkeley Repertory Theatre), and Island of Slaves (IRNE Award—Outstanding Actor).
