
Jeremy Browne was recently seen in a three city tour of Julius Caesar (Trebonius) in Dijon, Bordeaux and Paris and will be traveling to Bogota, Colombia with the same production in April 2012. Boston credits include Twelfth Night (Orsino) with Brown Box Theatre Project, All’s Well That Ends Well (U/S Parolles), Othello (Montano) and Comedy of Errors (U/S Dromio of Ephesus; performed) with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, All My Sons (U/S Chris, George) with the Huntington Theatre Co., Glengarry Glen Ross (Williamson) with the IDS, and Julius Caesar (Octavius) and Macbeth (MacDuff) with Shakespeare Now!. He received a BA in Philosophy from UMass Amherst, where he served three years as the Artistic Director for the UMass Shakespeare Festival.

James Bocock is very pleased to be making his debut with The Nora Theatre Company in Photograph 51. Boston area credits include And Neither Have I Wings to Fly and Book of Days both with Bad Habit Productions (Charlie and Earl, respectively), Enron with Zeitgeist Stage Company (Ensemble) and Mammals with The Apollinaire Theatre Company (Kev). You may also see him as the lead in the upcoming psychological thriller A Drop of Water with Red Tere Productions; and if you happen to make it out to the Washington state area you could also see him as The Host for the series “Water Conservation at Home.” James would like to thank his family for all of their support, as well as everyone attending tonight’s performance.

Tae Kim, winner of Steinway Society Piano Competition and Arlington Young Artist Competition, received a BM from Boston Conservatory and an MM from New England Conservatory. Born in South Korea, Tae has studied piano since age 4. He has soloed with many ensembles, including Yurodivy Chamber Orchestra, Hemenway Strings and Boston Conservatory Orchestra. Headlined as a “Radiant Glimpse of Talent to Come,” The Boston Globe praised his “sparkling performance” of Beethoven’s 5th Piano Concerto. Tae also actively participates in chamber and contemporary ensembles, where he has worked with distinguished artists like Suren Bagratuni, Lynn Chang, Hsin-Yuan Huang, Alice Schoenfeld, Brinton Smith as well as Allison Eldredge and Irina Muresanu of The Boston Trio. His interest in contemporary improvisation has led him to collaborate with Tod Machover. Tae’s teachers include Jonathan Bass, Bruce Brubaker, Janice Weber and Patricia Zander.

Tod Machover, called “America’s most wired composer” by The Los Angeles Times, is known for his innovative compositions as well as for designing new technologies for music. He is the Muriel R. Cooper Professor of Music & Media at the MIT Media Lab, where he directs the Opera of the Future Group. He studied with Elliott Carter and Roger Sessions at the Juilliard School in New York, and he was the first Director of Musical Research at Pierre Boulez’s IRCAM in Paris. Machover is renowned for his pioneering work with Hyperinstruments. Machover is especially recognized for his unusual operas, including the science fiction VALIS, the audience-interactive Brain Opera and the robotic Death and the Powers. He is currently composing a new work for the Toronto Symphony, for which he has invited the whole city of Toronto to collaborate. This “Concerto for Composer and City” will premiere in March 2013.

Zahra Kahn is a recent graduate of MIT and works as an aerospace engineer in the Boston area. She has been involved in theater productions since her time at MIT.
