Thurston, production manager, has several years experience in production in the New York Metropolitan area. Most recently he was the production manager with the Harlem Arts Festival. He has also served as manager of production and technical director at The Riverbank State Park Cultural Center and other venues such as the Tribeca Performing Arts Centre, The LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, NJPAC in Newark New Jersey, and The Cross Roads Theater Company.
Thurston is also is an AUDELCO award winning lighting designer. His collaborations with performance artists include Indian Blood and My Father and The Wars with Robbie McCauley; Zeitgeist ’99 and Chronotapestry with Ichiro Kishmoto; and The Alchemist’s Hands with Mie Makishima. Thurston’s designs have been showcased internationally with the Theater of Movement and Images’ A Day In The Life of a Hysterical Woman at the Sankorn Festival in Karlsrue, Germany.
His dance credits feature Dance America, Honi Coles and the Copastetics, Black Pearl Dance, Creative Outlet Dance and Essence Footprints Dance Company.
Thurston’s work includes his role as the Associate Lighting Designer with Melody Beal for Judith Sloan’s Yo Miss at the Nuyorican Poets’ Café. He served as the Assistant Lighting Designer for Keiko Fuji Dance Company and for Dance Africa at BAM with William H. Grant III.

Joseph Stein, Box Office Associate, has been with Central Square Theater since its opening in 2008. Joe currently works as an Academic Programs Assistant for the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology Program (HST) at MIT. Prior to this, Joe worked at the Boston University School of Education, where he was director of graduate financial assistance from 1999 until 2010. Prior to working at the BU School of Education, Joe worked at the BU College of Communication in the areas of graduate admissions, recruitment and financial assistance, after having spent a number of years there as an undergraduate academic counselor. Joe received his BA in Psychology from the University of Rochester, and his MA and EdM in Counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Kortney Adams (she/her), Director of Education and Community Initiatives is a native of St. Louis, MO, but has been working as an actor, director, and teaching artist in Boston since 2002. Before becoming a theater artist, Kortney was a practicing environmental engineer, and holds BS and MS degrees from Washington University and MIT. In addition to performing on professional stages throughout New England, Kortney has also appeared in numerous films, television and radio spots, and educational videos. In recent years, Kortney’s performed in CST’s Young Nerds of Color, Ada and the Engine, Harriet Jacobs, and From Orchids to Octopi. Kortney was formerly Artistic Director of Deana’s Educational Theater Company, Associate Director of Education for Wheelock Family Theatre, and Associate Director for City Stage Co. of Boston, where she co-directed the professional performances on KidStage at the Boston Children’s Museum. She is also the Managing Director of Theatre Espresso, which uses Theatre in Education to introduce young people to issues of social justice and the law.

Quang Milligan (Assistant Stage Manager) returns after being the ASM for Arabian Nights last season. During the spring, he performed as an Youth Underground Ambassador. In the past he has participated in independent film at the 48 hour film festival and has appeared in the short Yeah Buddy and the features Get it Together, Bleed for This, Against the Jab, and Chasing Rainbows.

Sarah Winters (Properties Coordinator) is a freelance artist based in Somerville, combining mediums of visual and performance arts. She designs costumes as well as props, working with fringe, mainstage and educational theater programs including Brimmer and May Middle School, Boston Ballet, Company One (Dry Land), Project: Project, Fresh Ink Theatre, The Young Company at Stoneham Theatre, Actors’ Shakespeare Project, and Oxford Street Players: Shakespeare at Lesley University. Sarah also teaches K-12 dramatic and visual arts workshops, most recently at the Boston Patio Playhouse, Creative Arts for Kids (Reading, MA) and PS 3: The Charette School (NY, NY).
