Martha Mitchell Calling

For election season, The Nora presents the Boston area premiere of Jodi Rothe’s sharp and funny play, Martha Mitchell Calling. Following successful runs at Shakespeare & Company and in New York state and Florida, this production once again brings together Director Daniela Varon and Annette Miller as the feisty southern belle, Martha Mitchell, who clamors to be heard during the tumultuous times of the Watergate scandal.

We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!

The Nora speaks to the times with Nobel Prize-winner Dario Fo’s work of politics and hilarity, We Won’t Pay! We Won’t Pay!.  The housewives have had enough!  Prices are high and getting higher.  It’s time to take things into their own hands since no one else will!  But how to keep their husbands from finding out that they’ve stormed the supermarket?  With olives, bird seed, and stolen pasta, this farcical comedy about a housewives’ revolt against out of control inflation looks at hypocrisy, injustice, and liberation with a healthy dose of hysterics thrown in for good measure.
