Lisa Hees Bravata

Lisa Hees Bravata is the Archivist and Assistant Curator of the Harvard Plate Stacks. Lisa catalogs, describes, and preserves the historic artifacts in the Plate Stacks collection to make them more accessible to all. Her archival work emphasizes bringing forward the accomplishments of individuals who have been historically underrepresented in the historical record by researching and documenting the legacies of women and other marginalized groups in the history of astronomy. Recent projects include metadata augmentation for the new StarGlass database and publishing the Williamina Fleming Collection finding aid. Lisa earned her MLIS from Simmons University with a concentration in archives management and a BA in Art History from the University of Texas at Arlington.
