Summer, 1912. Two-time Nobel Prize winner Marie Curie takes refuge with her friend Herthe Aryton, renowned mechanical engineer, after the outing of Marie’s scandalous affair with the married Paul Langevin. In the course of this 90 minute play their friendship is tested as they take on double standards, negotiating their passion for science, families, and romantic partners, their barriers, and the danger of new discoveries. Artistic Director Lee Mikeska Gardner returns to the stage in this two-hander.
