Executive Director Catherine Carr Kelly discusses The hound of Baskervilles

The game is afoot! Again!

The original production of The Hound of Baskervilles inaugurated our Summer Leadership Program last season. Central Square Theater, with a combination of wonderfully talented performers—Remo Airaldi, Trent Mills, and Bill Mootos—and brilliant comedic directing by Cambridge’s own Tommy Derrah, had harnessed the creative energy of a young, up and coming production team paired with some of the most respected members of our theater community. The result was a smashing success!  Leadership Project Artistic Director Alison R Klejna had helped to create an award-winning evening of spine-tingling and rousingly funny theater.

If you missed it the first time, we welcome you to Central Square Theater to experience what we affectionately refer to as “The Hound”. If this is your first time here, we hope you enjoy The Thirsty Fang, (named in honor of this production by our Facebook fans) and try your hand at the games and Sherlock Holmes trivia in the lobby.

After celebrating the iconic Sherlock Holmes, we turn our collective gaze to the extraordinary mastery of William Shakespeare. In October at Central Square Theater, The Nora Theatre Company will present Founding Artistic Director of Shakespeare & Company, Tina Packer in her masterpiece, Women of Will . Hailed as one of the Best of 2010 by The Boston Globe, Tina takes us on a journey, illuminating the evolution of the feminine in Shakespeare’s plays. Women of Will plays for a limited time from October 13 to November 6.

Without further ado, we offer you this curtain call of The Hound of Baskervilles. I think you’ll agree that it’s just what the Doctor (Watson) ordered.
