Baby-Friendly Performance of Precious Little

Join us on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 10am for Central Square Theater‘s first Baby-Friendly Performance.

Bring your baby to enjoy Precious Little in an environment adapted especially for them, and meet other local parents and carers.

The lights will be raised throughout the show so that you can walk about if you need to; the volume will be lowered so the little ones aren’t startled; you will be able to come and go during the show as required; changing facilities and stroller parking will be provided; the actors will be aware that there may be extra noise coming from the audience!

And, of course, our concessions stand will be open for snacks and much-needed caffeine. Baby snacks will be provided by the wonderful Happy Family, and we will have fantastic giveaways and promotions from Happy Family, Babyganics and Groovy Baby Music.

Use promotional code BABY to get $20 tickets for this performance

We will be collecting any unused diapers and unopened packs of wipes for Diaper Circle, a local charity that provides diapers to social service agencies working with low income families to distribute as needed.

Precious Little is 80 minutes long with no interval. Although this performance is aimed at babies who are not yet walking, you can bring older children as well if you think they will last through the show!

Marvelous Fruit: a rehearsed reading

Marvelous Fruit

A workshop of a new play by Masha Obolensky
Directed by Melia Bensussen
Starring Nancy E. Carroll and Will Lyman

Fran, quickly approaching 80, wakes up to her own life. With the help of “the interweb,” she finds a warehouse party and an underground sensation called a “miracle berry,” miraculous fruit that promises to make Tabasco sauce taste like donut glaze and pickles taste like watermelon. The berries spark a thousand tiny changes in the lives of Fran and her paranoid shut-in husband Jerry — but how do we know when change is worth the price? A play about aging, friendship, and the power of the mind, Marvelous Fruit asks if sourness can ever taste sweet.

This play runs around 90 minutes.
